Bob’s business acumen has resulted in a track record of retail business success spanning 28 years.  He has successfully launched 3 different businesses in 3 different industries reflecting his command of sound business practices, ethical leadership and an ability to generate value.   His businesses have had a reputation of being committed to servicing their customers so well that they would look forward to the next transaction.

In his almost 40 years of business experience his successes include 28 years as President and Owner of Dykema Total Office Resources that includes 3 retail stores, a commercial supply group and being a contract office furniture dealer.  Concurrently, he didn’t want to be left behind and moved to the technology field and founded Data Source Inc. a firm that marketed and sold mainframe computes and custom software for vertical markets.  The firm supported sales with the maintenance of service contracts.  After 4 years he sold the businesses and moved into the marine industry.

 Bob joined Wilkins Boat and Yacht Company in 1993 and he became one of the most successful brokers on the east cost.   This attracted the attention of Palmer Johnson and in 1996 Bob opened up a new Yacht Sales Division in Savannah Georgia and assisted in adding a Sales & Brokerage office in the Great Lakes. This sales division sold new construction Palmer Johnson Mega Yachts, was a Grand Banks/Eastbay Dealership and also power and sail brokerages. With Bob at the helm, this group was a leading revenue generator for Palmer Johnson with Bob personally experiencing brokerage sales alone with in excess of 12m annually.  When Palmer Johnson left the renowned service and re-fit yard in Thunderbolt Georgia, Bob purchased the assets of the division he started and remained.

In his current role as President and owner of Thunderbolt Yacht Sales Inc., Bob also brings his passion for yachting coupled with a superb portfolio of relationships within the marine industry to achieve the vision of making Thunderbolt Yacht Sales a leading East Coast brokerage.  Bob’s knowledge of the high performance and luxury end of the marine market made him the perfect leader to launch the regional dealer ship for Sabre and Back Cove Yachts.
